Hi all,
I guess you all know what I have in mind, so question first - what's the point of having need to lower windows slightly before opening / closing coupe doors?

My car after just a week of owning developed squeaking rubber VS window noise, and since I have tint applied on my front side windows so eventually this function will start "polishing" tint.

Are there any way to disable this annoying feature?

Pressure deferential, that's the reason...

I'm pretty sure it's because the coupe has frameless windows - the window has to be able to clear the seal at the top, so it drops in order to open the door. I don't get the pressure thing - cars without frameless windows don't do this.

This is also true. I always thought it dropped because if it didn't drop, it'll end up hitting the body when it closes (potentially breaking the glass or damaging the body).

It's both.
Try getting into a well sealed car and closing the windows without the drop, or a valve to release the pressure.

Your eardrums won't like you much....
