2018 C 300 Cab or not - that is the question

Looking to sell wife's 2013 E 350 Cab with 22k miles on it. New E Class cabs are out of my price range now. Just started thinking of the E Coupe (which is still expensive but more affordable than the cab) but here in SWFL, it would be silly not to have a convertible. Have not had the chance to see one in person yet at the dealer. Can't seem to find one with a Drivers Assistance package anywhere in inventory.

To those who own the 2018 E 300 Cab, are you happy with it? Never has a turbo 4 before. Does it move or is it slow? Is there room in the back for people to actually sit? Any problems? C class didn't exactly get stellar reliability ratings in the current Consumer Reports issue. The E hasn't exactly been trouble free either in its 22k miles. (Broken piece inside one of the mufflers necessitated replacement of whole muffler, Cable that pulls right rear side headliner snapped so it would bunch up instead of pull back, passenger seam split, tilt steering wheel no longer goes up or down). All have been fixed under warranty. I've been toying with the idea of an Audi A5 convertible for her but she is so enamored with the MB brand name (she always wanted one), she refuses anything else. And i'm wondering if it's still a come down from a 4 year old E class. Thanks

I don't believe there is a 2018 E300 Cab. In North America its the E400 4Matic that comes with a Turbo 6 - 329hp 354lbs torque and 5.5 0-60.
The E400 is much more car in a lot of ways. The dash layout and Sound system are more premium. There is an optional digital dash dual screen similar to the S Class. The Driver assist package is Drive Pilot one class below autonomous level and more sophisticated than the Driver assist on the C.

The 2018 C300 Cab would be about the same size as your 2012 E350 and would be a bit more peppy due to weight and 9 speed trany. Also all the tech inside is updated like that of the 2015-2016 E350 Cab.

I love my C300 4Matic Cab and its an its been trouble free. There are a few recalls in the system but they are being looked at by the dealers.

I don't think you should compare the E to a C, not after the recent updates. Your old E350 was actually a W204 (C Class) with a few body works

When you actually see them side by side the exterior looks similar but once you step inside or test drive you will see the difference.

If you can wait another year the C Classes will be getting an interior and tech update, so digital dash and improved electronics.

Good luck.... I have to say once you have bitten into the Convertible drive scene its difficult to go back.....

I meant C300 Cab. Sorry
The C is getting an interior update next year? Wasn’t that just done last year?
do you have a link whereby I could read about it?
thanks

Took the wife today just to see the cars in person. Dealers are closed on Sundays here. I basically told her if you want a MB, it’s going to be the E Coupe.
You want a convertible? It’s going to be an Audi. She’s got allergies so a Coupe might be better for her but then again, she won’t necessarily pick what would be the best choice logically but emotionally. We drive both next weekend. Man, are these autos expensive nowadays.
