C300 from a C6 Vette?

C300 from a C6 Vette?
Hi folks, first post here. Did some researching and reading, great forum!
I'm looking to change up my daily driver, my last 2 cars were Corvettes and an RX-7 before that, and I am thinking about changing things. I'm almost 55 and my commute no longer allows me to "jump" on my car, so other than the way the car looks, the power and handling are not really used. I started looking around for cars that don't look like a Camry and noticed a C300 coupe that caught my eye. I went to the dealer and drove an '18 that had a lot of options, it was $54K, white with a cranberry interior, both my wife and I were impressed with the car. Had decent power for a 2.0 liter, and I like the amenities, though I wish it had a heads up display. We also looked at a new E400 coupe, and that was also nice although probably too large a car for me. I also looked at an SLK? 2 seater convertible hard top which was nice, but seemed to lack the luxury factor.
I've noticed the C300's seem to lose their value very quickly, is it because it's a popular car and updated frequently? If not why?
I've also noticed others seem to raise their nose at the C class, though it seems a perfect size for a small family or daily driver vs a larger barge.
So my real question is, anyone coming from a sports car, are you satisfied or longing for the rawness of a sports car?

2021 AMG C63S Coupe

I had a 2006 Corvette, then a 2016 Z51 and now a 2017 Z06.....but my daily driver has always been a Mercedes C class . W204 C300 sedan then 2 different C204 Coupes (2012 then 2015) . I most recently had a 2017 C300 coupe/4matic .I was happy with it and had nice acceleration (especially the low end torque).
I recommend it, but if you don't want to sacrifice too much speed/power, go for a AMG C43 Coupe. I just purchased a 2018 AMG C43 Coupe (traded in the 17 C300 coupe). Best of both worlds. It's a c300 coupe styling , but has the twin turbo AMG engine and lots of great features (including the AMG exhaust). You also get all wheel drive practicality . The acceleration numbers are on par/better than the early LS2 C6 Corvettes (AMG c43 does 0-60 in 4.2-4.6)
