Plastic Clips on Trunk Mechanism - Broken
Just FYI.....
On my 2017 C300 Coupe, the little plastic clips holding the black guard onto the trunk arms have broken. I took my car in to service today and mentioned it to my service advisor. He said he had someone in very recently with the same issue. I wanted to post this here since I was not the only one to experience this.

Same issue with my 2017 coupe, also note there's a strut behind the left trunk arm holding a hydraulic device that powers the auto trunk lid, if the clips are not properly installed it will effect opening and closing the trunk lid.
