C300 4Matic 2017
Voice Control Phone Optional?

2017 C300 4Matic purchased used less than 5000 miles. Can't get voice control to work for phone. Acitation button on steering wheel brings up navigation screen. No other options listed. Wondering if the car is not set up for phone voice controls.Seems strange it would be optional...

Yes it is optional. Voice only works for map pilot navigation. You must have multimedia package, it includes full voice control of Phone, radio.

To add multi media package you would have to replace command radio unit and replace with Multi media head unit and you must replace center controller with track controller and you must add WiFi control box. You must have car computer updated by star computer. Total cost would be around
$8,000.00. It would not cost affective. It would be better to order new Mercedes With Multi media Package $1,250.00.
