Bought a CPO C300 with 27,000 miles. Changed the oil for the first time and found oil covering a part next to the oil pan (passenger side) - see pic below. Anyone know where this might be coming from?
I just did the same to my '17 and saw oil between the trans and the engine. Didn't see any puddled in the cover pan so I'm not that worried about it. Car goes in next week because I am getting a wheel bearing type howling (on/off pulsing) and a whining noise when I'm on the expressway at at 2000 RPM an slighly let my foot off and on the gas pedal. Tech said he heard it and I told him that the service writer said it was coming from the turbo. He said no. We'll see what the say next week. Going to mention the oil I saw.
