The armrest started making a really annoying plastic noise, primarily in the mornings when it's cold. It's not even necessarily when going over bumps. It doesn't seem to be coming from the rear vents or from the ashtray that pulls out at the bottom. Maybe it's just the plastic housing surrounding the vents itself? Anyone have any ideas?

Try centering your rear vents first to see if it helps the noise (You should hear an audible click when centered). Otherwise, based on my experience that sound actually comes from the cup holder tray when I have my blender bottle in there full of water on the driver's side! Basically anytime I open that cup holder/phone charger compartment in the center console.

It's definitely not the cup holder tray unfortunately. That too rattles but this is a separate noise (like the many others present throughout the cabin, hah!)
