I drive a 2015 C-300 with a Panoramic sunroof, and the other day the front mounts came off the track and I'm trying to figure out the best way to repair it. As I was closing the roof, I heard a loud noise and the front didn't fold down like normal when it locks closed. On inspection, the black plastic-looking triangular guides broke and I found them on both sides at the front of the tracks. I was able to back it up a little and fully close it by holding the front of the sunroof down and it looks like it sealed shut. I don't know what will happen at highway speeds, but it seems to be seated in place well. When trying to do research on fixing it, the only solution seems to completely remove the headliner to access the bolts holding the right and left side tracks on. MB recommends replacing the tracks as well, not just the guides. I also read a comment that said you have to have a dealer use a STAR system to reprogram it to work properly. The guides are easy to find online, I'm just wondering if there is an easier way to fix this. It looks like a common problem with all the repair kits available.

I'm just seeing your thread, this is a very common issue with this panoramic roof mechanism.Originally Posted by C3004matidriver

The same thing happened to my C400 and the published fix is to remove the entire headliner in the vehicle to access and replace the clips (they have to be slid onto the end of the rail, that's only accessible with the headliner removed)
I ended up designing a repair-in-place clip myself and 3D printed them and installed. They've been working great.
Attached is the link to my original post in case you'd like to try them....I'm selling them for $30 per side.
