Halogen to LED coding
Halogen to LED coding
Hi, guys, new here in a desperate search for help.
I installed DEPO LED lights as a direct replacement for halogen in my C class. Quality is OK, visibility is really good and I have no complaints here. (only to myself when I got the car used, but I'll punch myself when no one sees that)
However, since halogen DRL turns off when the lights come on, the look at night is not 1:1.
So now I have 2 options. Option one is to disassemble the headlight and install some kind of relay that goes directly to the battery. This would seem reasonable, but DEPO sells some lights in the USA with a back cover that has cable already sticking out of it for this sole purpose.
Other, as a seller ( don't know if I'm allowed to post names here) suggests coding it but offers no starting point. Few people I asked suggested that is not possible, and just one Youtube video in German says someone did it to their car.
Could anyone give me a starting clue? Anyone did it already?
