DPF Regen - help
I do about 35 miles per day commute (each way) mostly motorway but in rush hour so lots of stop start and not really getting the high rpms I’d like to help do the passive regen. Just wondering if that will likely be a culprit? I also drive in comfort mostly so the RPMs are low (trying to conserve fuel). Even in sport mode at 75mph rpm seem to be 1500-2000. Just wondering what I could be doing that’s meaning the regen isn’t doing it naturally? And also how can I tell if a regen is even happening mid drive?

On diesel engine, higher rpm produce ash, so it's not the best scenario to force the regeneration process.
On MB, a complete regeneration process can be made at 1400rpm...
So instead of cleaning a clean DPF, I would search for the real course that has the virtual clog as an effect. You can start with a diagnosis.
