Preventive maintainance

but milage still below 35,000km. very low usage. love it
but it already 8 years old even though i only use it for 6 yrs. all the while service at merz center, only change engine oil/ filters. recently after warranty i change spark plug. the most expensive parts so far was replacing cooling coil. also fuel pressure pump. replace gear oil front and rear, and the v belt.
is there any more parts i shoukd be aware need to change like wear and tear of plastic component that need to replace because of aging etc
anyone can advice what part that i need to replace as car driven by missus. do not want to get sudden call when car stranded on the highway.😁

Not needed based on miles, but perhaps age and usage: If 4matic, I would do what the individual above recommended, if a RWD like mine, I would still do the rear diff fluid. Given that the turbo does produce heat, coolant. Mine showed some slight discolor, so I was glad to have had mine changed out. Both of these are good long term refresh items. Along the same lines, you could always have a full transmission service done: drop the pan, change transmission filter, new fluid. If I were to rotate these in maybe every 6 months, I would probably go Coolant, then Differential fluids and then transmission fluids.
You mention it has had normal service at MB dealerships. Did that include the alternating A and B service schedule, including changing the cabin and engine filters and every 2 years brake fluid services? If not, attend to that. If you kept up on cycle with all of that, then good to go there.
Items to consider based on age:
* Age of main battery and Auxilary battery or capacitor (whatever that Auxilary item is)? Test & potential replace.
* How’s the serpentine belt look? Any signs of cracking & age, replace.
* Have camshaft magnets checked for oil wicking. None -good. Starting? Have pigtails installed to prevent potential ECU oil damage. Can happen with these with time.
* Probably goes without saying, but brake pads condition/thickness, tire tread health, depth.
Anyhow, I just did a very in depth refresh for our cabriolet. Nothing was off aside from the slight discoloration in the coolant fluid. However, I have great peace of mind moving forward with the next 50-60k miles knowing she is as good as new again. Hope yours stays great and running perfect for the misses.

In contrast, my wife's car is a 2004 VW Beetle. Still runs, and only has about 55k miles on it. So on average it's driven about 2000 miles a year. All I've really ever done on that car is an annual oil change, spark plug change at some point and the battery died a few years ago and took out the alternator at the same time. That's until recently when I realized that I never had the timing belt service done after 22 years, so that was a big service recently. Engine runs like new now. New water pump, new belts. The C300 I believe has a timing chain, so this is no longer something modern cars need, but for older cars the timing belt service is a big item that's supposed to be done every 10 years at least. Testament for the quality of the belts that they hadn't snapped in all those years.
