Am I screwed or what with a broken control arm bolt!
I was doing some work and needed to drop everything to get the front springs out (even with a spring compressor, I couldn't pull them out - needed another 1/2" or so and that's even with the sway bar, lower shock mount disconnected). Anyhow the upper bolt broke clean off. So, it looks like I have to go under the hood and remove the control arm mount in order to fix it. Is this an easy job? I hate when an easy job goes south
I almost feel like having it towed to the dealer to fix......

Well, the part was $180 as the bolt is part of the assembly. I think the bolt was defective as all the people I've spoken with can't understand how unbolting it
would simply snap it. Lesson learned is to put WD40 on them before attempting
to remove.

Yeah Kwik is correct. I dropped my clk without the compressor and it was a fruggin pain. I now hav eto do a spring pad change in the front because I still have almost a 2 finger gap on my front wheel and the rear is flush.
Kwik do you still have the tool? Is it available for rent?
