I think there is only the supersprint ones.. at 2000$

that is one of the reason a C230k is way cheaper to modify

What kind of hp/ftlb gain are we talking about for these headers?

I've never seen a dyno for the 6cyl engine

I'Ve seen 11whp from header, cat and muffler upgrade together. which is pretty good.

But header only, I wouldn't think of more than 7whp..altough the 2.8L might have more gazes to exit

Ok. That's still a lot of $$ for little gain. The powerchip wasn't bad but I'm still
wanting the Kleeman (again $$ but for more gain - but not the best bang for the
buck). A little off the subject - I remember when I chipped my VW Turbo and did the intake mod it gained 40hp/72lb-ft for spending $700.

No, that was the goapr.com chip and an AEM cold air intake. Add pullies, injectors, rrfpr etc. and it's closer to 275hp crank. The power is sick when you start modifying turbos. I have a friend with his at 400hp crank. I think 350hp is the magic number with the vw before you end up blowing holes through the block (seen it done with another friend's 410hp beast). Sorry for straying off the topic.

Unhappy

yeah this is really starting to **** me off, not the of topic thing, just the fact that headers for any other car are $450-$1K, and you get more hp/tq then the supersprint ones that cost $2K...Trbo2nr, i know that our mods look much alike since you are the one that put me in powerchips direction and you also gave me input on the evosport pulley kit, but KLEEMAN!! Thats the sh*t how much are you paying for it and whos putting it in? also i know you have a C280 like mine so what do you think the hp/tq gain would be....hmmm, would a C280 sport finally be able to spank the Sti, EvoVIII, or an SRT-4?? I love it!! i hope i can find headers somewhere anymore help for hp gain would be greatly appreciated...

custom made headers should run about 1k, and most likely better than ss

The Kleeman numbers for the C280 are around 280 HP and 265 lb/ft. So, doing
the exhaust and other little tweaks should easily produce 300 or so. The costs
are $12k out the door. I admit that's a lot of $$ for 70 or so. I'm still on the
fence but should be doing something soon (like within the next month). PES in PA is installing it. I just need to give Jeremy two weeks notice and it will take them a week.
