Disabling the lights out feature
I'm getting aftermarket HIDs and I don't want to see the "lights out" on my dash board day in and day out...and i want to keep my aftermarket hid.
anyone know how to disable the lights out feature?? other than taking the bulb out from behind the console?

Although I don't know the correct value, I understand that an appropriately sized resistor across the power to the ballast will solve the problem. That way, the lights out function will still work for everything, except the HID's.

Yea, the computer monitors current draw from the lights, and a low or no current draw results in a "lights out" light on the dash. Considering Xenons draw less current than regular halogens, this happens (same thing happens when you use LED's for turn signals etc.). If you search on Club202.com, theres a thread that has the appropriate resistor value if i'm not mistaken.
