Check engine light
The check engine light on my 99 C230 Kompressor is on. A scanner revealed the following codes:
P0100A-MAF/VAF Circuit Malfunction
P0410-Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction
I assume the Mass Air Flow Sensor need replacing. What about the other code? Need some advice. I would like to do work myself if at all possible.
Thanks,
Msport3

i had the mass air code come on and changed the sensor. then the check engine was reset and everthing was good. a few days later the cel came on again. i brought it baack thinking the MAS code came back, but it was now the same code ur getting. PO410. what the heck is it? and is it expensive to fix?

the second code you recieved is probably related to the first code. meaning, because the maf went bad, the secondary air system detected incorrect air flow. i would just change out the maf, reset the codes, drive for about 100 miles and check the comp again for any new codes if any. also if you do not correctly earse the codes on teh comp, it may appear as if the code came back, so which ever ODBII scanner you have, read over the docs carefully to see how exactly to erase the codes after the repairs are done. good luck.
