i was just wondering what the best motor oil was to use on a 96 C280 with 83K miles on it.... Mobil 1 10W-30 was what i was guessing but i figured the people in this forum would know more about this topic than me......

If you can afford AMSOIL is great stuff but wouldn't test its 50K mile claim. Mobil 1 is good stuff too.

hmmm i would think the car would take 10w 30 too.. but on mine, the MB dealership serviced it with 15w 30.. isnt that too much for a sedan? even a benz

I use Mobile 1 myself in my '96 C220. I prefer it over all the other motor oils. Never had a bit of trouble with it.

just curious... which Mobil One should I use... i saw 10W 30, 15W 40, etc... which one would be best for a 96 C280

Depends on a couple of factors really. Mileage, driving conditions, climate. I use Mobil 1 with SuperSyn. I live in Colorado and the winters can be rough but I usually don't switch weight or anything.
