If you are looking at pullies, aka underdrive pullies, a complete set would only net you 7 to 10 crank horsepower. It gives a little better engine spool up, but it would take a full intake/exhaust, pulley, and chip set-up to get you to 20 hp. You may get 20 wheel hp out of all of that, however, pullies may give you all of 3 to 5 at the wheels. Just my .02... Unfortunately, i have no dyno sheets to prove it, but just from past experience and research. I can estimate that.

no it does not have kompressor and http://www.bnzsport.com/forums/index...howtopic=11794

"The last big Benzo project, we have done was the C43 and C36. They gained 23hp and 18hp respectedly. I don't think I am being overly optimistic to expect at least 20hp out of this one -- AT THE REAR WHEEL!"

I have faith in Ken and his ability, but I would need under drive pullies to start off, I mean just something so it has a little more feel to it

I do not doubt their ability. However, I would like to know what other work was done to that car. Everything the were talking about was done on a V8... with the exception of a c36, beefed up 6. Pullies are a good start and give some seat of the pants feel, but not a lot. A full exhaust from the manifold back would help. Intake and exhaust are the two best bang for your buck mods anyone can do. Start there, then move to the pullies and computer. A properly tuned chip specific to your mods and driving style will do wonders.

As far as modding a Benz, I have not done it, and I am not sure how they respond to mods. Depends a lot on what is done, and how it is tuned I am sure. To me, the 280 I6 is a workhorse that runs smooth and drives well. If you want throttle response, regearing would help, if possible to do.

Get real!
You have about 190 hp right now.
IF you gain 5%, that would be about 10 hp, at the crankshaft.
Leaving you with 7 or 8 at the wheels.
How do I know...........been there, done it.

i6 has 195 or 200, I have dyno slips for 200 hp i6, and where do i get a pullie for an i6. someone give me links, and yes it is a work horse, an na build would be sweet, but right now all i want is about 20 gains i could live with 10, just something so it feels faster

20hp gain at the wheels from changing the drive pulleys. fark aim higher man,

ur best way to gain hp na is by buying one of those piggyback 35hp(sumthing like that) gain computers, and make a nice intake and a custom exhaust, and if ur feeling really keen get a custom cam made up.
do that first ^ and those motors u say made 23hp and 18 hp gains have alot more hp to start with to make a gain from compared to a c280.
not to shoot u in the foot or anything man i just dont think that was realistic.
but i would be happy if u proved me wrong with a dyno slip :-)

i just read ur link and that gain u talk about is for an Exhaust upgrade.
now im confused, do u want a exhaust or just pullies?

Well I just wanted pullies for now, but I am just at the research stage for exhaust, seeing how much high flow cats or maybe even free flow no res and a nice muff would be, been trying to reach ken to see whats the best setup and such...
