Newbie Qs about sound systems

So I want to take out the stock deck in my car, put a nice MP3 one in there, and get some new speakers. I apologize for asking newbie Qs but I can't find much info about this.

Now, I have questions:

1. I have a cd changer in the trunk, will I be able to use it still? As in, will I be able to have a cd inside my new mp3 deck, AND use the 6 disk changer in the trunk, or will the changer become useless.

2. What size speakers can I get? I don't plan to have a sub so I want to get decent sized speakers. My buddy (different car) has 6x9 in the back and just 6 on the front, and his sound is good. What's the max I can fit in there?

Thanks for any help! Also please let me know if this is a fairly easy install or if I'll encounter problems. And if you have any pics of c230s with an aftermarket deck post it !

Well since no one is answering I thought I'd look myself, so I took off the covers for the fronts and it seems that the speakers are 6.5 inches, which is fine.

I'm assuming they're the same for the back ones (on the doors).

However, I have NO IDEA how to get to the ones by where the rear headrests are. They are so close to the glass that I don't think it would be possible to install them from there. Do the covers come off? Or maybe you do it from the trunk, I'm not sure. Advice?

the back ones are smaller than 6.5 for sure. I checked. AS for the back deck you usually have to go in thorugh the trunk for soemthing like that.

good luck!

um if there bose speakers it is complicated.
if not than it is a relatively simple change the standerd cd changer will be hard to wire for the standard merc cd changer harness, there crap anyway dont worry :-) especially if ur going mp3, a standard mp3 cd holds like 10 normall mp3cds so dont worry :-) i changed myne and it was all good, i just took out the cd changer, thing of the past :-)

I gotten a 6.5 speaker in the front doors...4 inch in the rear doors....5 1/4 in the rear deck... you have to remove the rear seats first, then the rear side panels, then you could get access to the rear deck.

Useless

Your cd changer is renderd useless if you get an aftermarket head unit, i got the blaupunkt chicago flipout, i also had the cd changer in the back and my installer said there was no way it would work, i miss it, but trust me after you hear the differance in sound, you wont care
