C180 oil

I've recently purchased a C180, which as yet I am very pleased with.

However I notice that until the engine has warmed up (about a mile), there is a very slight tapping probably coming from either the cams or valves. The car has 142605 miles at present, was last serviced at 135656 by Benz and its next service is due at 144000. The oil, which is Mobil 1 since new, looks fine and the car runs excellent.

Should I,
1) Change the oil my self now?
2) Take it for a full service now?
3) Wait till the 144000 is reached in two or three months?

I don't like additives, but was wondering if theirs better oil I could use and is it worth while changing the oil between services?
