Engine belt torn apart by a loose faulty pulley...
I could'nt believe or imagine what was going on... Loss of power steering occured and all electrical power cut. But luckily, and I mean damn LUCKILY, that I was nearby a benz dealer.Upon raising my engine hood, I saw my engine belt torn up and a loosened pulley (note: not the main engine pulley) and this pulley didn't spin straight, as the cause to my car's disability.
The solution: Buy another engine belt for... 50 dollars give or take... plus my repaired faulty pulley re-made (straightened) by one of the dealers mechanic presses. To buy a new pulley, I would have to buy the entire set of engine pulleys to my car's engine! What a waste!
For something like 250 dollars...
So with labor and parts combined... 80 dollars... after a two hour delay... So now I am just waiting to see how many more thousands of miles I can get with this repaired pulley... as if this problem is a slow ticking time bomb...
