94 C280 Window Reprogram/Convenience Features
I'm trying to reprogram the windows in my 1994 C280 (as the topic obviously implies) and I'm having serious troubles.
All the reprogramming directions I've found online are for the "one-touch" windows that came on the 96-2000 w202's. Apparently many are un-aware...
94-95 w202's have differences from the rest. Only the front windows have auto-roll, but only on rolling the windows DOWN. The rear windows have nothing automatic. Also, the sunroof is not automatic and the button must always be held.
Still, I would love to get the auto-down feature working again on my 280. Also, there are other features that were deactivated once I disconnected the battery.
When you exit the vehicles with windows down (or sunroof open), then insert the key, lock doors, and hold key; it automatically closes the windows/sunroof. Well, this needs to be reset/reprogrammed also.
I've rolled the windows all the way down on first level of the button, then once the windows reached bottom, pressed the button a little harder to engage the second level of the switch (the auto-roll-down) and held for 10 seconds. I hear a click inside the door right at the 10-second mark. I roll back up and do the same, and it doesn't help. I'm not sure what's going on, except for maybe the 94/95's needing different technique to reprogram (seeing as how it has a different switch/body harness).

I've played around with the windows and I can tell there's a definite procedure to it. I just can't figure it out completely.
