Car differences?
I really like this body style c-class. I plan on purchasing one in the near future. Is all the body style and engine the same from 1995 and up? Would you say its more reliable then the newer c-classes? Thanks look forward to your advice's.

2016 BMW Z4 sDrive35i M Sport
94-97
2.8 L I6 DOHC 24 Valve
195 Hp
199 ft/lbs. of tourque
4 spd. vaccum controlled auto tranny (94-96)
5 spd. electronically controlled auto tranny (97) (driver adaptive)
Most run on conventional motor oil from the factory.
Smooth engine, have to learn the vaccum controlled tranny in order to truly enjoy driving the car. Had engine wiring harness issues and head gaskets like to blow, costs lots of $. Early electronic tranny's (97-98.5) supposedly have problems. You break a headlight, you will be sorry.

2.8 L V6 SOHC 18 Valve
195 HP
194 ft. LBS. of tourque
5 spd. electronically controlled tranny (driver adaptive)
Mobil 1 from the factory.
FSS (Flexible Service System)
Fiber optics (CANBUS) for data transfer (CD chager, telephone)
Much more fun to drive, no engine harness problem, head gasket still an issue (on either models, take care of the engine, oil changes on time, etc. and shouldn't have a problem). Engine not as smooth or quiet. I think it's a fun *** car to drive, particularly the Sport version. Updated exterior is WAY better. Headlight lenses are replaceable, therefore not NEARLY as expensive to fix if it gets broken.
