I have a 1999 C230 Kompressor with its stock 15 " rims. i recently bought some 17" rims ( carlssons 1/16 for that matter) to upgrade the looks of the car.... But I have been concerned as to which tires will fit these 17 " rims best WITHOUT me having any rubbing issues or having a big gap between the edge of the fender to the top part os the tires. I did some research and narrowed my search to 225 45 17 ,225 50 17, 215 50 17.
So now my question is among these tires, which is the best? anyone? Or does anyone have any idea about a better fitting tire size?

The tires are not the only thing that matters.
What ET is the rims are?? 35 or 37
My opinion is that 225/45/17 is the best choice for 35 ET rims.

save gas use 215/45/17

waste gas run 225/45/17 and 245/40/17 that will waste gas
