CD Player Adapter Fix?

I've got a 2000 C230K with the fiber optic radio. Does anyone know of an adapter we can use to avoid having to put in the Mercedes cd changer. And I don't want to run one off the FM frequency. Thanks.

Is there a difference between the 1999 C and 2000 C? If not you can get the adaptor from any stereo place and use a alpine 6 disc. By the way you might want to check to see if you have the connection first. If you open the trunk it is on the right hand side wall. Just kinda pull the carpet shell on the side and peek in and see if you can locate the wire.

Thanks. It's my understanding that in 2000 they switched to fiber optics so I think I'm hosed. I have shopped around but with no success. Hmm. My hunt continues but I'll check the trunk anyway.

You can get a changer from www.autotoys.com that will work (and it's cheaper than the factory one), or order one from www.autoclass.net (ask for Gaston).
