Stereo Cutting Off
1995 C280
My Stereo/Radio cuts off at times and comes back on. As if I loose the power to the Amp, the power to stereo is on since all the lights and station stays unchanged.
Has this happened to anyone?
Where is the amp located in those cars?

Yeah, this happened to me for awhile... luckily it all started working again! And has ever since.
You need to check the amp for possible moisture.
The stock Bose amp is located in the trunk, on the driver's side, behind the trunk lining... kinda near the antenna.

The radio in my '96 C-class has done the same thing. It also has does a very weird oscilation noise, like a rhytmic type of noise. Usually when it did this most everything power in the car would be affected though.
I DID locate a source of moisture in the trunk, the radio mast drain hose had come out of it's hole and was brining moisture into the trunk. I fixed the problem with that and after some period of time the moisture evaped and I haven't had the problems since.. related? Maybe..
