Oil in MAF

Oil in MAF
Have a 2000 c230k and thought I had a problem with the Mass Airflow Sensor a couple months ago and replaced it. Noticed that the old MAS had lots of clean oil residue in it, so much that it was beginning to drip. Car ran great when it was replaced but now I'm having the same problem, took the new MAS off and guess what....It has a lot of oil residue in it as well. Could a leak from the valve cover gasket be causing this problem?

I have a used MAF/MAS for your exact car. I replaced mine thinking my rough idle was because of a faulty MAS, but it turned out to be a misfire in cylinder 3. The MAS has about 50K miles on it, it was and is in perfectly working condition. Make me an offer if you want/need it.
