HELP PLEASE!!!C-Class Ventilation
Hi Everyone,
I have just purchased a 1996 C-Class and the ventilation is not working. I checked the blower fan and found it was spinning very slowly. I removed the motor and found the brushes had completely worn down and the comutator was destroyed as a result. I have replaced the blower motor and now it runs at full speed regardless of what the fan speed setting is. Even if the key is switched off the fan runs full speed. Even with the fan running full speed I have no air movement from the vents. I think the blower regulator is ok because the fan runs at full speed however correct me if I'm wrong. I do not have any lights on my A/C economy and recycle switches. I now suspect I have a faulty fan controller too. Please someone help me as it is the middle of Summer here in New Zealand and we really need the A/C running.
