2000+ Blinker mirror cover swap 1996 W210?
Forgive me as I am newer to this forum but I get the impression that the 2000+ mirror covers that have the turn signals built in can be used on the 96 E320.
My question is it a matter of a simple swap? I researched the removal (clip) and looks basic enough if the covers are the same size and fit but what do you hook the turn signal light wire to? Is there easy access or does one have to find the turn signal light wire to tap into?
Now if all this is realistic, where do I get a set of covers that are painted the same color or do I have to go to the Dealer, order them, have them painted and install? Do I search the salvage yards and if so which have you found to be the best? EBay?
