Do 225/40/18 fit w202 Esprit?

Do 225/40/18 fit w202 Esprit?
The C-Class Esprit model is lowered in comparison to the Elegance or the Classic model, I believe by the same amount that the Sport is.
I would like to put 18's on, all four 225/40/18 tyres but im really concerned about the wheels not scraping my rear arches in small bumps when i have 3 persons i.e. in the car. Is there someone with the Esprit or the Sport model (or both
) who already has/had 18's on, or anyone knowing at all, that could enlighten me on the subject? I dont want to widen my arches or anything, Im only wondering if they plainly fit.

Great! Thanx a lot guys, Ithey are on my couch, 
i got them this afternoon (Tuesday 14)! 8,5J 18".
I measure their diameter though and its 50cm(=19.7inches!)
Is the nominal size the same as the actual size? On the box it says 18 x 8,1/2 but its still weird. Oh and width is 24cm (=9,5inches). Any advice on that including tyre size and brand is very acceptable! Thanks again for your time and help.
