If your car has not been lowered as you say, are the tyres and wheels standard ?, 205/65/15 is the standard. If non standard wider wheels have been fitted, or with a different offset ,they may rub on the suspension parts. Jack the front of the car and spin the wheels while holding the steering to full lock and you should be able to see what is rubbing.
This should be fixed as a matter of urgency as it could cause a tyre to blow out or some other failure.

Apologise, should have said 205/60 R15.
There are 3 alternative stock sizes for 1995 C220 : 185/65 R15 ,or 195/65 R15 ,or 205/60 R15.
As I said, you need to check underneath to see what is rubbing before you have a problem, good luck.
