Fixed my cruise control today

The dropping out problem I had with my cruise control is gone.
If you want to know the fix... Send $5 to....
Just kidding!
Just to recap, my 98 C230's CC would drop out at over 55 MPH. I posted on this site and others and only had one response. Just for sh*ts and g*ggles, went out and checked the size of the tires. 205/60/15's on the front, and 205/65/15's on the rear. Ah ha! Just to check out my theory, I lowered the air pressure in the rear tires down to 25 psi. I took it the highway and set the cruise. I kept bumping up the speed until it kicked out at 62 MPH. Ok.. now I'm getting somewhere.
I knew the rears were needing replaced, so I found the dimensions of the tires on the front (National Anthems.. And they do not sell these near me) and found the tire that was the nearest to that size. BF Goodrich Touring T/As. After the new skins were mounted. I hit the highway again.
Prognosis? Did you know the cruise cantrol will work up to 110 MPH? :-)

Thanks for the info. I would have never guessed tires going bad would cause the cruise control not to work. I did know that the cc would work well over 100, as mine was set on 120+- going towards Eastern NC (there is nothing at all out there!).

Well, not to mention that they were 2 different sizes. 205/60/15 on the front and 205/65/15 on the back.
