steering and tyres shakes
I own a 97 C200. The car steering and front tyres shakes badly when it reaches 100 kmph and lessens at it reaches 140 kmph. I have changed the steering rod linkage,tie rod ends,new sports rims, new tyres,both front lower arm bushings and ball joints. Did wheel allignment. But the problem still persists. Does anyone have any ideas?

you need to balance your front wheels. if you have aftermarket wheels and tires installed (AMG....), get a very professional and experienced guy to do it for you. don't go to the shop advertise for 4-wheel balance with a low low price, they don't know how to balance the wheel right.

My car does the same thing. I've all but given up even trying to find the problem. The dealer thinks I'm on drugs by now. But the problem is there. It does it even worse when braking at high speeds. New brakes & disc in March. Don't seem to be warped.
It sounds as if you're replaced just about everything that would cause that sort of symptom. The car keeps coming out of alignment which tells me something on the steering/suspension might be worn, but nobody seems to have found it it.
