1994 c-280 put the ac to low yet heat still blows please help

I just purchsed this car a 1994 c-280 with the rare burnt orange leather interior. i love the car except for its hot now and the heater is always blowing. It stops when i turn the climate control sytem off and on when i turn it on. all the vents work like they should. But the system will not stop blowing hot even when i turn it all the way cold. Someone please help me with this problem im burning up today its 95 degrees here in the stl today. thanks, tony

If the heating system is running hot constantly it probably means the power to the duovalve control solenoids has been cut; the duovalves default to fully open in this case and allow full flow through the heating system. Check your climate control fuses and whether you are getting power to the plug on the duovalve.
This will show you the position of the duovalve ;http://mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=26888 .
Hope this helps , Geo.

To cut the water flow to the heating system temporarily, use a clamp of some sort to restrict the flow on the hose from the duovalve to the pump, do not clamp it too tight or you may cause it to rupture.
Cheers, Geo.
