The door knob on froot door lost the wire to open the door. It just hang in there now. no tension. Should I take it to dealer?

The inside door handle? Mine frayed and snapped as well. It's a $15 cable, I think I have the p/n at home. You have to take the door panel off. I don't know how mechanically inclined you are. I'd figure atleast $100-150usd if you bring it to the dealer.

Here is a guide on removing the door card, I think it is the one for your car.

it's outside door handle. right now, I open the windows with the remote to get into the car.

I heard the spring inside the door handle is missing so the door handle should be replaced. is that right?
