front pads and rotors replacements..
my repair shop told me that OEM rotor can not be re-sufaced like others, usually the rotor will last 2 pads average.
you can try the aftermarket pads (EBC Greenstuff) which produce less break dust than the OEM but compensate higher wear rate than OEM.
I heard power slot (slotted) rotor is good if you don't want OEM setup!
If you want rotors that look nicer, slotted would be better than most cross drilled...cross drilled tend to crack pretty easily. If you get cross drilled, make sure it has the cadmium coating so it doesn't rust as quickly, and if possible, have them frozen first (some companies offer this service...check out www.myroadster.net).
I hear Axxis Metal Masters are good pads that are low dust...
If you want better braking though, look into bigger brake kits (or get brakes from some C36/C43, etc).
matt:
i have a question, does it matter to install either left or right side? pgauto.com does not specific the right or left rotor.
The obvious difference between rear and front rotors are the dimensions. But left or right, no difference for normal rotors.
If you are going to do this yourself, it's a prime opportunity to re-pack your bearings.
what is re-pack the bearing? sorry to ask you this, but I am new in this field. i used to have the dealer take care of the car for me. but now i think i need to know what actually they are doing to my car.
I have replaced wheel bearing of my Porsche before, is it the same thing? (lots of small metal ***** packed together to make the wheel/axel turn smoothly)?
thanks!

You'll probably want to optain a tool for tapping the seals out and then back in. I've always replaced the seals because after taking them out they can be pretty dinged up with the right tool.
