kickdown

hello there...........
i have 1995 C-200 elegance auto, recently am having some strange problem, which is ... if i was going 60 km/h in forth gear and for some reason i needed a full acceleration to pass a car, the car gives me only third gear even when i push my foot hard on the pedal. before the car used to go down for second gear when i just kickdown. And i noticed there's something like a switch under the gas pedal could that be the problem ? thanx for any help.

There was a recent thread in one of the 202 forums about the button/switch under the pedal and its purpose. The posters confirmed that it is a kickdown switch.

Yep, the kickdown switch might be broken, so the tranny doesn't know you are standing on the pedal.

shocks!!!!

hi everyone....
I have C-200 elegance 1995 i noticed a little oil leak on the top of the shocks mostly the front shocks, and the car is a little bit noisy and tough on small bumbs and stones that found on the street, so i think i'll change front and rear, it's better they told me. BUT i will not go to MB Dealer, Toooo much expensive, so can you help me find the right ones and the right size for my car, cause i don't know much about shocks like sizes and makers

thanx for ur help
