Water in the Floorboard
I've got this weird, recurring problem with my car; I sometimes notice a significant amount of water in the rear, passenger-side, floorboard. The first time I noticed this, I thought maybe someone had spilled a bottle of water back there, but I noticed it again the other day and that wasn't a possibility. 
Any thoughts???

That was the first thing to come to my mind as well. I've only had that happen on one other car, but it was confined to the front seat area; It seemed to come from underneath the dashboard, which makes a little more sense. Anyway... this being confined to the back seat puzzles me. I'd bring it in and have it checked out, but it happens so sporadically. I could never hope to replicate the problem once I got it there.

My first thought was the heating and airco ducting, too. My understanding is that there are drains at the top of the system under the outside vent windshield and then more toward the bottom of the ducting down by the blower. I wonder if the drain(s) down by the blower are blocked and then the water is sloshing down into the ducting for the back seat passengers which comes up under each of the front seats. That would explain the "porting" to the back floorboard area.

It is most likely the drain check valve under the air vents at the base of the windshield.
Lots o' crap seems to accumulate there.
My 99 had this problem, but with lots more water..
Not a job for the faint hearted.
