Hi from a newbie !
Hi there guys,
I just jioned up on this forum as i have just purchased my first mercedes c180 1999 model,eventually i will work my way upto a c32 or c55
,i have found the c180 real sluggish,is there any mods that can increase power levels and perhaps sharpen shift points ?

I'm afraid there's nothing you can do about the transmission, assuming you have the same automatic that most w202's have. powerwise, start with intake, header, and exhaust, a chip, pulleys (if they make them for the 180) and you should see a good improvement. keep in mind though that there's not much you can do with a 1.8L motor.

How bout fitting a c200 xhaust as i noticed they have dual pipes ? also found out they have a octane chip you can buy from mercedes ? anyone else have any idea's or mods they have dome to m ake imporovement ?

Oki Guys,
Since i never got any answers here,i took some time and did some testing,i bolted a c200 rear exhaust assembly to my c180 and it picked up some power,drives alot easier now and you dont have to accellerate as much now,the increase was amazing,and the fuel economy got slightly better to,it would have to be the best mod so far,i will be looking at doing other mods soon and do a write up as work prgresses.
