Mass Air Flow Sensor diagnosis

1999 C280, 95K miles.

I have a check engine light, with error codes P0170 and P0173. I am tempted to replace the MAF sensor but it's terribly expensive. I have an oscilloscope which I can use to probe the leads. Does anyone know what the pins are to probe for the actual MAF values and power voltage?

Thanks.

Why don't buy a can of CRC Mass Air Cleaner from Pep Boys for about $7.00 before you go through all that work ?

I have bought a can and done cleaning following a procedure found on the net. This is the last thing before I need to take it out and buy a new one. I wish there was a way of getting my hands on a working MAF, test it out for a day or two and see how that goes, but I havent convinced anyone I know to buy a Mercedes, and with the check engine light it's really hard to do so.
