Check engine light not turning on (NEW BULB)
My girlfriend's check engine light won't come on, so she can't pass smog. I already put in a new bulb, and the light still won't come on. Any ideas?

What model? The W202s have an Overvoltage Protection Relay (OVP). When it goes bad I know the diagnostic relay does not work, but I am not sure about the check engine light. The OVP is on the right side of the engine compartment, under the electonics cover. It is a silver relay about 1" sqaure and about 2" long with a fuse on top.
