This is kinda wierd...

I just recently lowered my c280 on eibach springs and as soon as i drove it out the shop onto the freeway, its acceleration wasnt all that great. if im going 80mph and i floor it...i feel no boost of power. before i lowered it the car would kick pretty well when i floored it while goin 80mph. the only reason i can think of is becuase the aerodynamics of the car changes when its lowered...but that may not be the case.

Is this normal? Does this normally happen when people lower cars?

After you had the car lowered, and before you took it on the highway, was the car aligned properly?

ACTAULLY, IT WAS ALIGNED. THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT WONT REV WHEN IT GOES 80MPH OR ABOVE. IT USE TO BEFORE I LOWERED IT. AND AFTER I LOWERED IT MY ABS LIGHT CAME ON. NOW I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THAT MEANS TOO. I DUNNO, I HOPE I FIGURE IT OUT. THANX BRO.

I thought that lowering the car was essentially to improve aerodynamics. When the car is lower to the ground, less air is going under the car and it is pushed out to the sides. Can anybody confirm or deny this? Did you have your car aligned? As for your ABS, maybe the sensor was set off somehow during the install.

Regards

I think you have another problem that has nothing to do with you lowering the car. It may just be timing, that they seem to be related.

The ABS Light is probably a sensor that is not connected, or was left loose during the suspension installation and they forgot to reinstall it correctly.

As far as the engine, have it checked for codes to find out what the problem is. 2 thing that could cause that condition are the Mass Air Sensor, or a plugged catylitic converter.

Lowering a car does increase the aerodynamics of the vehicle!
