1994 c220 speedo not working

1994 c220 speedo not working
Hey Guys,
New to the forums here so I hope you can help me. We just purchased a super clean 1994 c220 and everything is working on the instrument panel except the speedo. The mileage is stuck and not moving either. Is there an easy fix for this or do you think something else may be wrong? I have read posts here about resyncing things, but honestly I am not sure.

My friends grandpa used to disconect the mileage thing, to keep the miles low on his cars for when he would go sell them. Say it was a weekend car. It also made his odomitor not work.
I have no idea if MB are the same way. He usually bought Lincoln. But, its an idea. If those are the two things not working that would be my first guess.

813-870-0010 Thats the number to my dealer, Mercedes Benz of Tampa.
The service guys are pretty good. You can tell them what your problem is and most of them will give you some trouble shooting. If you say the speedo isnt working and the odom is stuck. If whatever causes one, causes the the oher, they will just tell you what it is. Its worth a try.
They usually help me out with my questions if its something that can only be one of a few things they give me the possibilitys of each.
