I need some help with a check engine light!
Hey all, I'm really hoping that you guys can help me with this. This looks like a really knowledgeable community and perhaps ya'll can shed some light on this. A few days ago, my check engine light came on. I ran to codes and I got:
P0105-Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction
P1519- Idle Air Control Valve Circuit Failure
Within the last day or so, my car started to sound really, really bad.. It almost sounded like a truck was idling or something. So, I'm wondering if the valve is bad, or just the wiring? And I have no idea how to address the first code at all, so I was wondering what you guys might think. I don't want to take it to a mechanic simply because I am pretty handy with a wrench, and I like to DIY.
So, pretty much, what do I need to do get my car back?
TIA Guys!

check the vacuum hose and line at the back side of the map sensor. More than likely the hose either came off or the vacuum hose cracked.
If that is not the case, then check around the engine looking for loose vacuum hoses and lines.
My money is on the vacuum hose connected to the back of the map sensor though..
