body differences between c36 and c43

hi. im about to buy a c43 but after doing some research, i read that the c36 and c43 look different. how? i always thought they look the same. i also read that the c43 is not much faster than the c36 and the c36 is more rare than the c43. now it makes me think twice and i am thinking of getting the c36 instead. power to me is important but if the c43 has more power than the c36 at over 100mph and if the c36 really does look better then i would rather have the c36 cause i dont really go over 100mph anyways. can someone give me some links to some detailed pictures that can show me the body differences between the c36 and c43? i am just going to lower the car and slap on the 18" amg 2pc wheels and thats all. thanks for your time. oh and if i do get the c43 what color should i get? 2 choices i have are o-black and silver. thanks.

c36 is a massaged inline-6, less horse power, less torque, but also less weight. c43 is a massaged v-8, more horse power, more torque, but heavier. side note: c43 was $400 cheaper than c36. road and track numbers:
c43 c36
horsepower 302 268 (97 was 276)
0-60mph 5.9 sec 6.0 sec
1/4 mile 14.4 sec 14.5 sec
top speed mph 155 (limited) 148
brake from 60 ft 123 120
brake from 80 ft 219 210
skidpad, g 0.84 0.86
slalom, mph 62.7 62.2

as for body style differences, the c36 body kit was a little more straight. c43 had more rounded and curved body kit. i've attached a pic, sorry but the couldn't find a good c36 silver (shows body kit better). the exhaust was dual square for c36, dual round for c43. oem tires were different, bridgestone expedia so-1 for c36, michelin pilot sport for c43 (same sizes).

hope that helps

Guys, help me with this C43...

Customer just left it with me to sell for him. I'm a bit unsure about values, as I've only owned 1 C36, and I know the marketplace has tumbled since then. It's a 98 C43, obxidian with two tone, 37k, all options including MB phone, CD, xenons, hot seats and ortho seats. Still in warranty. I don't find a ding or a scratch anywhere. Can you guys help me with an appropriate price 9 or help me find a home)? Thanks for your help, BTW, I'm in Atlanta area if you think that affects value.

As a person who owned a 1995 C36 and still owns a 1999 C43 I can tell you that the C43 is much better performance machine. The power you get all around is much more better. I would rotate between the two cars and I can tell in a heartbeat what feels like the better machine. It is the C43 and in the drag strip it backed it up in stock form throwing down consistant 13.70 time slips @109mph. All I did was take the spare tire out and put in some NOS octane booster.

Just FYI
97 C36 and C43 has a very close performance 0-60 and 1/4 miles..

They earlier C36 suffer performance from 4 speed auto-tranny and lower HP..
Many people has tested 97 C36 v.s C43 yet they are surprised performance wise is so close

I just thought you might like to know..
