1997 C280 Ride Performance Noise
My car seems like it's riding harder these days. So I purchased new Bilstien shocks and got new BF Goodrich T/A's and still, when I go over bump and small cracks in the road I feel them and it seem to rattle the entire interior of the car. I check air preasure and all. Any other suggestions? Thanks Phil

Well I hate to say that the tires are most of your problem. They are not known to be a smooth riding tire.My guess is that you sell the tires on ebay and get a set of contipro, michelin hydro,or read thru the reports on which are the smoothest ride.I picked the 2 because they made my c280 and e320 ride very quiet.I have to say that I too hate loud tires.

if it happens when you go over speed bumps and such, i dotn think ti would be your tire, its something else in the suspension. possible a tie rod? Do a steering/suspension check

Mabybe I'll have to get a second opinion on my suspension. Because I just put on new bilstein shocks and they did not mention and problems with it.
As far as my tires, I can return the B.F. Goodrich T/A's (yes even after they have been installed). After some research on tirerack.com it's a toss up between the Continental ContiprosContact and the Bridgestore Turanzas. Anybody else have any history with these tires? I had the Michelin MXV4 Plus before and was not that impressed, but they are better than those B.F. Goodrich T/A's.
