Has anyone tried to repair a becker radio LCD? Or have you just replaced the whole radio?

I heard you have to replace the whole radio if the display goes dark or gets messed up. What I dont get is that a stock replacement radio is $900. Except for the few of us nuts that like to keep everything stock, you'd think the price would be lower because of a lack of demand.

It all can be fixed at a price

Yes, I think I am off to ebay to check used ones out.
There are so many on Crutshfield that look much better but I suppose I will put up with the blackened screen until I cannot see it anymore.
The parts are hard to find but I am sure it could be fixed if the parts could be found, the old dated radio is much less appetizing to thieves though.
