Tonight I tested the high-speed characteristics of my 95 C36.

Flooring the throttle from 60 kph produced a swift kickdown to 2nd an a glorious rasp from the engine. Shifting was crisp and clean, the shift from 3rd to 4th came at around 190 kph and was able to reach approx 235 kph before traffic ahead compelled me to brake hard to slow down.

Braking was steady and absolutely straight, no drama or hysterics at all. Engine temps actually went lower after the high-speed blast.

Finding another break in traffic I floored it again and reached 220 kph effortlessly. Accelerating from 160 to 200+ is very swift.

All the while the A/C was full on and the stereo was playing Mozart.
