'00 E320 Estate (W210)
Hey there,
I used to get that problem with my '94 C280 (I traded it in about 6 months ago for a '00 C240, W202).
According to my local Mercedes dealer, they told me to switch the Sport/Winter switch to Winter, if the rear wheels spin on steep slopes or on rainy days. Unfortunately, I didn't have a Sport/Winter switch (The switch with S/W) near the gearbox in my C280, so the problem couldn't be solved.
However, with my current C240, I don't have the wheel spinning problem anymore on rainy days if I have the switch set to Winter.
If you have that switch, maybe you could give it a shot?

Not all tires are good in the rain, so maybe part of it is the type of tire you bought.
>>but rear wheel spinning real hard<<
This is odd. Doesn't your ASR/traction control kick in?
