What would cause second gear to stick?
94 c280, 115k miles. Drives great except second gear seems to stick. It has been doing this for a few weeks now.
If I let off the gas it will shift, or if I drive slow it will shift. Shift is still smooth, just holds on, and can hold as long as 4500 rpms before upshifting. I just changed the fluid and it is at the proper level. No burned smell, dark color etc. No CEL either.
Thought I might have a vacuum leak since my passenger door lock is slow to go down lately too. But not sure if the two of them are correlated.
The rest of the car is in immaculate shape.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
