C230 (C36 Rims fit??)

I am looking at buying a '97 C230. Any serious flaws about this model and year?

Will C36-type rims fit on it with better tires? Where can I find those rims used?

Thank you,

I have a set of 17 inch AMG's off my C43. They are curbed a bit (go them like that) and you will need two front tires (still got life, but I would change them if I used them daily). I letting them go for $600 firm and would consider shipping them out. They are fairly nice, but if you got the 2 wheels fixed then they would look new.

yes and no....the rear 17x8.5 with 245-40-17 from the c36 amg rims will probably not fit. the front 17x7.5 with 225-45-17 should be ok on all four...although amg did some fender flare/wheel well enlargement with the c36. it should be fine with 225-45-17 on 17x7.5....i think it rubs only on full lock turns, at least according to my friend with his 95 c280
